Alexandre Diop, *1995 in Senegal, currently lives and works in Vienna.

Alexandre Diop is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under the direction of Daniel Richter and is known in the fine arts for his “object paintings,” which he creates from a variety of found materials. He uses, among other things, metal, wood, textiles, latex, paper, animal fibers, burned fragments and combines them into assemblages, in which his creative process is guided by experiments and political-historical observations of our societies. In addition to painting, sculpture and relief, he uses various media such as dance, music, film and literature.
