Schnur is regarded as one of the most prominent Austrian artists in the field of figurative painting. He embarked on his artistic journey at the School of Arts and Crafts in Graz from 1982 to 1985, refining his skills further in the Master Class for Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1985 to 1990. Renowned for skillfully integrating surrealist elements, Schnur’s artworks delve into the complexity of various spatial dimensions and realities. He meticulously crafts scenes ranging from fragmented landscapes to urban interiors, with a particular focus on the subtle interaction of light.
