During the exhibition “Grafik von Meisterhand“, Zein Editions were invited to discuss the particularities and unique features of the prints by Günter Brus and Hermann Nitsch. With years of collaboration with both artists, Kalina Strzalkowski was able to provide valuable insights into the creative process and the collaboration between artist and print workshop.

As part of Parallel Vienna 2021 taking place at the Semmelweis Clinic, Zein Editions presents three extraordinary print projects that showcase printmaking in its purest form.
UNIQUE PRINTS: The unique print edition by Herman Nitsch are original works created in collaboration with the artist at the printmaking studio. Each print is an individual artwork that reflects the uniqueness and intensity of Nitsch’s artistic vision in a powerful fusion of action painting and printmaking.
EMERGING & ESTABLISHED: In this series, special editions titled Under Pressure are presented. The artworks were created during a live printing event and offer exclusive insights into the work of renowned and up-and-coming artists. The representatives of this series include: Alfredo Barsuglia, Anna-Maria Bogner, Robert Gabris, Martin Grandits, Begi Guggenheim, Brigitte Kowanz, Constantin Luser, Nick Oberthaler, Roman Pfeffer, Maruša Sagadin, Patrick Roman Scherer, Stylianos Schicho, Deborah Sengl, Sophia Süssmilch, TOMAK, Andreas Werner.
RARITIES: Another highlight of the exhibition are rarely presented prints and portfolios by Christian L. Attersee, Günter Brus and Arnulf Rainer.
These significant artists have left a lasting impression in the art world through their consistent approach to printmaking.
For the art magazine Les Nouveaux Riches, covering the contemporary art and cultural scene, Zein Editions welcomed journalist Diana Smaczynski for a visit to their workshop. In the conversation, Kalina Strzalkowski and Nestor Kovachev discussed the art of printmaking.

In the conversation, Kalina Strzalkowski spoke about taking over the printing shop Kurt Zein, traditional printmaking techniques and her dedication to the art of printing.
